A Clear Midnight
by Walt Whitman
This is thy hour
O Soul, thy free flight into the wordless,
Away from books, away from art, the day erased, the lesson done,
Thee fully forth emerging, silent, gazing, pondering the themes
thou lovest best:
Night, sleep, and the stars.
We also remember those involved with the 9/11 tragedy ... an unforgettable horror...
We also remember those victims of AIDS & HIV-related deaths...
Though some have dared to called this virus a punishment for homosexuality and promiscuity, the fact that such a disease exists and has countless victims from all walks of life is a deadly reminder that modern medicine has a long road still to travel.
